M.A.P.S. (Monday Afternoon Prayer Service) – Please join us on the 2nd & 4th Monday afternoons each month at 2:00 p.m. for a time of prayer. We follow an informal format to lift the many prayer concerns of our members, our church, and our community. As part of this ministry, we send “prayer-grams” to various members of our church family and community. Click here to submit a prayer request.
Wednesday Night Group – A time to gather around the table and share a good meal, fun and laughter. We also engage conversations about how the life of faith intersects with current issues. This group meets Wednesdays at the Ingle’s Cafe (Sand Hill Rd.) from 6 – 7:30 pm (6-6:45 Dinner/Fellowship; 6:45 – 7:30 Conversation). Come when and how you are. No preparation necessary.
Ardenwoods Bible Study – This weekday Bible study meets on Thursdays from 10 – 11 am at the Ardenwoods Retirement community. Though mostly made up of residents, several church members also attend this time of deep Biblical reflection and close fellowship. Primarily discussion based, we are not afraid to wrestle with sometimes difficult theological questions. Come join us!

Needlework Ministry – Begun in the spring of 2005, this group gathers on Fridays from 9:30 – noon to spend time fellowshipping while working on hand-made knitting and crocheting projects for people experiencing life changes. From prayer shawls, to lap blankets, to dolls for our preschool graduates, we work with our hands to spread the love of God to those who may not otherwise experience it. Following our meeting the last Friday of each month, fellowship continues over lunch. If you are interested in joining the group, or want to learn how to knit or crochet, please contact the church office.
UMW – Meeting the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm, this group of United Methodist Women gathers to pray, fellowship, and to serve God by serving Acton and the community. Giving regularly to both local and global ministry initiatives, these women seek to forward the cause of Christ around the globe.
UMM – Partnering with other United Methodist Men from all over the Candler / West Asheville area, our group works on mission projects and local outreach to support ABCCM and other local ministries. To support this mission, our congregation’s group hosts an annual BBQ and sells Frasier Fir Christmas Trees and wreaths. They also provide a fellowship breakfast for anyone on the first Sunday of each month at 9:00 am.
